Grant Gilbertson, born on July 25, 2003, was a remarkable individual whose vibrant spirit and unwavering determination left an indelible mark on all who knew him. Tragically taken from us on January 3rd, 2022, Grant's legacy continues to inspire us.

An all-around athlete, Grant embodied resilience and a relentless pursuit of excellence. His fierce loyalty to family and friends, coupled with his infectious humor, made him a beloved teammate and friend. Grant's love for animals and the great outdoors mirrored his adventurous spirit and zest for life.

Graduating a year early to chase his dreams in junior hockey, Grant's passion for the game was remarkable. In the wake of his passing, the Grant Gilbertson Memorial (GGM) Foundation was founded by Grant's devoted mother, Darcie, to honor his memory and preserve his love for hockey.

Darcie recognized the need to create a space where Grant's teammates, his older brother, and all who cherished him could come together to mourn, remember, and rediscover the joy of the game they loved. Thus, the GGM Foundation was born.

The inaugural GGM 4 on 4 tournament marked the beginning of a journey dedicated to honoring Grant's legacy and supporting young athletes. With a passionate team of volunteers rallying behind the motto "for the players," the Foundation has remained steadfast in its commitment to serving the needs of local young athletes.
